Consultation Fees
With exceptions for holders of DVA, Pension, and Health Care Cards, we are not a bulk billing practice.
Our fee for a standard comprehensive consultation is $95, often with an additional imaging fee from $25. A short secondary consultation costs $50.
Other fees may apply depending on your clinical requirements.
Most consultations attract a Medicare rebate, which reduces your out of pocket cost significantly. Most Medicare rebates are easily processed at the time of payment. The amount of the rebate varies according to Medicare's rules.
Private health funds contribute towards the cost of prescription spectacles and contact lenses. The exact amounts available depend on the specific policy you have with your fund. Most funds allow us to give you a quote over the counter for your cover. Private health funds do not contribute to optometric consultation fees in Australia.
